Who We Are

Founded in 1921 as L. Miller Hardware by Louis & Dora Miller at 1815 W. Division st. The family of 5 lived in the back of the store & did business out of the front. The company now known as L. Miller & Son Lumber Co. operated for almost 90 years at the same location expanded to 1811 -1825 W. Division st.

In Chicago, Miller Lumber is one of the few family-owned and operated lumberyards still in existence. The Company owes a large debt of gratitude to its customers, employees and vendors.

Still owned & operated by the Miller family the 100+ year old company is currently in Franklin Park with a full service mill facility on premise.

Prince & Sam

Moe

Dan

Sam, Dan and Moe worked for Millers for nearly 50 years each. Their only other job was for Uncle Same in WWII. Prince worked for the company for over 25 years. Prince got his nickname because although he worked hard, he never seemed to get dirty.

The New Generation

Tracy & Jessica

The new leadership face of Miller Lumber. Tracy has been with the company for 25 years and represents a bold, modern approach to moving the company forward. She works with designers, architects, purchasing agents and carpenters. She has a hard hat and visits construction sites.
